Animation: Toy Story Replayed / Power Rangers Reanimated
July brought the invitation to work on not just one, but two small pieces of animation for much larger collaborative productions.
The first was Toy Story Replayed, a shot-for-shot remake being created by a large number of animators from around the world.
Unlike Bee Movie, the previous reanimate project I took part in, and a film I’ve never actually seen, I was at the cinema on opening day for Toy Story, so I couldn’t say no.

This was followed by a tiny piece of animation for the Power Rangers ReAnimated project. The source clip was a baffling sequence where a ferris wheel turns into a giant robot cat. Figuring out how to translate that into my aesthetic, while keeping it entertaining, was not easy, but overall, I'm pretty happy with the results.
