Another Tamworth BBQ
28/06/26
With the school holidays underway, my parents have returned to New England. Tamworth, specifically—to look after my nephews and niece. As is always the case when family is in town, we got together for a big family BBQ, the first one in quite a few months. There was a lot of meat, a lot of sticky date pudding, and a lot of cheesecake eaten on this very special occasion.
There were also a lot of photos taken—by me… in black and white… on my old Canon 200D with the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 lens that practically lives on the thing. I'm starting to feel like I've forgotten how to use this particular combination, at least for anything other than landscapes, so taking it along was the right choice. The lighting was harsh, the air was cold, and the photos were... ehh, they're okay. Not every outing is going to produce bangers, and bangers aren't really the point of spending time with family anyway.
