The Nundle Dog Race 2025
04/05/25
We had an absolute blast at The Great Nundle Dog Races this year, after having to miss them last year. It was chaos of the best kind—as it always is. Not every dog is there to race; plenty are just there to chill and vibe, and who can blame them?
And what would The Great Nundle Dog Races be without people bringing their puppers to the event in the first place? The day is always full of absolute characters, proper country camera fodder.
We did enter our dog George into one of the races, and when the race started, he did quite well. Unfortunately, however, he decided the exit was a more interesting place to go than the finish line…
On the drive home, we decided to stop at Gostwyck Chapel for our annual sunset photo of the building before all the red leaves had blown away. I feel like we made it just in time this year, as there weren’t many leaves left.
It was nice to see the sheep were still around. I can’t help myself, I have to take photos of these guys every year.
We decided to take the tourist drive back to Armidale, a road we had never taken before, and while I didn’t get much in the way of photos, it’s given me a new idea for a project: walking the 27 km back road from Uralla to Armidale, photographing whatever catches my eye along the way. Maybe when spring rolls around.
