Quoll Headquarters Open Day 2026

19/04/26

Quoll Headquarters once again held its annual open day, and while attendance was less than half of last year’s—understandable given the current fuel situation and the private tours over the Easter long weekend—it was still a fun and valuable experience. I put my hand up to volunteer as the event photographer, and my wife and I woke up early to make the two-and-a-half-hour drive to the outskirts of Tenterfield.

It was great to see how much progress had been made at the facility, with the new bandicoot area—still under construction during my last visit—now open for tours. Steve, Bianca, and their team continue to do incredible work for local wildlife while making public education around conservation as accessible as possible. Steve and I are hoping to collaborate on some educational video projects later in the year, but for now, here are my captures from the day’s events.
