A true collaborative production, with Uralla Shire Council handling all of the interview portions internally and Visitors From Dreams capturing all supplemental b-roll and managing editing responsibilities, this project was one of our most significant film undertakings to date.
Commissioned by Council to celebrate National Volunteers Week, this 30-minute documentary premiered at the Uralla Courthouse on Friday, 23 May, with two sold-out preview screenings.
Volunteers from the Shire features 30 inspirational locals who were interviewed about their community volunteering. Over several weeks, the film crew from Visitors From Dreams explored all corners of Uralla Shire, shining a light on more than 50 local volunteer organisations, just a small sample of the many groups active in Uralla’s community.
