What Makes Our Furniture Special was my first collaborative video project with Armidale furniture manufacturer Timberline. The brief was simple: showcase the behind-the-scenes process of how their bathroom vanity products are made while keeping things simple and local. We decided to use a mix of black-and-white B-roll to give the film a more refined feel—no easy task in a factory setting—alongside a select handful of colour shots to emphasise the key qualities of their products.
The video was intended for playback in retail spaces where Timberline products are on display.
Timberline was an excellent company to work with: great communicators and, most importantly for the production, the warehouse staff were all eager to be on camera—a rarity in my experience.
I look forward to collaborating with the team again in the future.
