It was a privilege to be invited by UNE to cover this important event. As is often the case I saw a lot of familiar faces and got to meet plenty of new ones.
Dr Sarah Pearson was installed as the 10th Chancellor of UNE this month, by The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of NSW, at an event attended by staff, students, Indigenous leaders and dignitaries on the lawns of Booloominbah.
Dr Pearson once taught Physics at UNE, and has an impressive and diverse background in Australia and internationally in research, innovation and entrepreneurship, investment, economic development and industrial strategy.
