Walcha Motorcycle Rally 2025
Yesterday I made it out to the Walcha Motorcycle Rally with my family, and although my dad and I had planned to ride, the wet weather meant he drove down from the Northern Rivers instead. My wife and I never pass up a chance to visit Walcha, and as always, the town was full of some of the kindest and most relaxed people you could ever hope to meet. It was a fantastic day, great conversations, plenty of photos, and even a surprise portfolio shot. That’s why the news of what happened later that night was so shocking, and our thoughts go out to everyone affected in such a small, close-knit community.
Black Gully Festival 2025
Armidale’s Black Gully Festival returned this year, and I decided to make the most of it by arriving earlier in the day. Armed with the Canon R8 and Sigma 85mm f/1.4, I was keen to experiment more with the setup and my new ND filter. The event was packed, and while I spent more time catching up with friends than shooting, it was still a great day out. Highlights included seeing The Rocky Bottom Girls and Oh Ma Soul perform, and yes, I may have left with a bit of sunburn.

Halloween 2025
Every year Evelyn (from Peacock Photography) and her husband throw a halloween party, but this year to mix things up I decided it was time to take my oldest camera and mess around with some flash photography.

It’s important whenever you visit family on the coast to get up at the crack ass of dawn and get out there and photograph the sunrise… and I suppose take photos of your family as well.

While travelling to Tamworth to run an animation workshop, I took the chance to get the family out at sunset for some photos, and damn, it paid off!
