Another Tamworth BBQ
With my parents back in Tamworth for the school holidays, it was the perfect excuse to get the family together for our first big BBQ in months—and, of course, I couldn't resist bringing a camera along. The photos might not be my strongest work, but that's hardly the point when you're spending the day with family.
Four Days In Sydney
I travelled to Sydney to see my short film This Shit's for the Birds screen at Draw Space Gallery, using the trip as an excuse to explore the city with my Canon R8 and a newly acquired Helios 44-2. Despite catching the flu and missing focus on far too many photos, it turned into a much-needed little adventure filled with great company, live music, and a few images I'm genuinely proud of.
Five Days In Broken Hill
A work trip to Broken Hill turned into an unexpected chance to explore one of Australia's most fascinating regional cities, from the vast desert landscapes of Mundi Mundi Lookout to the industrial relics hidden throughout town. Between filming, location scouting, and squeezing in some photography of my own, I came away with a renewed appreciation for the far west and a strong desire to return with more time to properly explore it.

The Big Chill Festival 2026
After unexpectedly shooting the Big Chill Festival for The Rocky Bottom Girls, I stuck around to photograph the headliners using a pair of vintage 1970s Nikon lenses—an experiment that resulted in plenty of misses, but a few shots I absolutely love. Between the chaotic manual focusing, the live music, and seeing acts like Sneaky Sound System and The Presets, it ended up being an unforgettable night.
Nundle Dog Race 2026
This year’s Nundle Dog Races felt more like a relaxed holiday, shooting light with just a 24mm lens and focusing on enjoying the day with family and dogs. The photos were hit-and-miss, but the vibes were great—and that’s what it’s really all about.
Portraits at Thunderbolts Cave
After a long day shooting the Australian Celtic Festival, we stopped by Thunderbolts Cave for a quiet reset and a quick portrait test as the sun dropped. The results were mixed, but it’s a location I’m keen to revisit—and at the very least, we left far more relaxed than we arrived.
Australian Celtic Festival 2026
The Australian Celtic Festival returned bigger than ever this year, with multiple events running at once and barely enough time to capture everything before rushing off to the next location. Despite the chaos, the shorter shoot day, and my first-ever taste of haggis, I still came away with some shots I’m really happy with—and a bottle of mulled wine for a rainy day.
Quoll Headquarters Open Day 2026
Quoll Headquarters’ annual open day saw smaller crowds this year, but it was still a rewarding experience as I volunteered to photograph the event and made the early drive out to Tenterfield. With new areas now open and ongoing conservation work on display, it was great to see the team’s progress—and I’m hopeful for a future collaboration on educational video projects.

In the final days before daylight saving ended, I experimented with shooting on my phone, creating a small series called Stories that I originally shared on Instagram. With the early morning light now lacking mood, I’m keen to revisit the idea soon—possibly with my everyday camera setup for a grittier, low-light approach.
